If you want the most out of your amp rig in any sound environment, the Dead Room is for you. If you're in need of a reliable, quiet system for recording guitar and keeping the stage volume to a minimum, the Dead Room isolation cabinet is the solution you have been looking for.
Description The Dead Room is more feature rich then any thing else like it in the market. It has the ability to mount and record two microphones inside simultaneously without the need for an extra upgrade; we have made this a stock feature. The lid holds six inches thick of insulation to eliminate the "boxy" reflection characteristic of other isolation cabinets. Speaker experimenting is a breeze with the installed six prong deluxe t-nuts and bolts. Just unscrew the 4 bolts, unplug the negative and positive disconnect terminals, connect the new speaker and screw it back in with a Phillips screwdriver.
The XLR and 1/4" jacks on the Dead Room are genuine Neutrik connectors. They are soldered by us in shop with quality cable and insulation on connections ensuring a life time of trouble free operation. There are a pair of female XLR jacks inside, and a pair of male XLR jacks outside corresponding to the dual microphone capability. A pair of 1/4" Jacks wired in parallel allow you to daisy chain your Dead Room to other cabinets. This could be used to run another Dead Room or a small guitar cab for a guitar monitor on stage.
All of the hardware on the Dead Room exceeds the level of "heavy duty". We went out of our way to make sure the lid hinges, front latch, handles, corners, casters, connection panels, microphone mounts, and goosenecks all exceed the level of quality met on competing products. Our mentality with the construction of the raw cabinet is the same way. 1/3 of the entire construction time is spent on the raw cabinets; taking piles of plywood and turning it into something beautiful. Okay, maybe not so beautiful and more like high strength squares and rectangles. We use 3/4" (23/32" to be exact) (actually you know what it's more realistically 11/16") Birch plywood with 3/8" rabbets for all corner joints and 1/4" dadoes for the baffle to sit in. The cabinets are glued together using Titebond III and clamped up! Hope this was an exciting read?

Quick speaker suggestion: After recent speaker testing between 7 of our most popular speakers, the Celestion Vintage 30 was the unanimous winner. We thought it sounded the best on distorted tones by far. Cleans tones were subjective. Look forward to our speaker sample page with clean and distorted speaker comparison clips in the near future.
